The Department of Primary Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens was among the tertiary educational institutes who participated in the Athens Innovation Festival
The event was organised by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI-EBEA) and the Athens Startup Business ), with the intent to bring attention and support to innovative enterprises, researchers and technology actors in Greece.
Athens Innovation Festival (AIF) was launched last year in order to serve as a forum for innovative businesses and to provide a hub for Greece’s startup ecosystem.
It gathered representatives of businesses, universities, research centres, business support structures, large corporations, venture capital companies, angel investors, private equity firms, state agencies and non-governmental organisations, who presented major trends and best practices in the field, shared knowledge and created productive partnerships in order to expand their activities and to jointly strengthen the ecosystem.
The 2nd Athens Innovation Festival lasted for three days, bringing together 56 young business owners and more than 20 support organizations, while more than 360 people attended the workshops and parallel presentations.
We informed Policy makers and prominent leaders of innovation about our project. They showed great interest in the project itself and its outcomes. Many deputies of greek Parliament visited our stand.
