On January 25, 2019, the 4th transnational meeting of the Ethicboard project took place in Sarrià de Ter, Spain.
Taking advantage of the assistance of our partners from Greece, Bulgaria, Belgium and Portugal, the first multiplier event was held in the Space of Performing Arts, "El Centre" of Sarrià de Ter.
After receiving our partners from Greece, Madeira, Bulgaria and Belgium, as well as "stakeholders" (interest groups, among others, COAC, FOEG, Girona University, UdG, Foundation for Creativation or Royalverd -Morera Grup) the sixth grade students opened the event with a popular Catalan dance.
With a brief Introduction by Mr. Montse Xandrich and Montse Asencio, director and head of studies at the Montserrat School, Mr. Thomas K. Babalis, rector of the Faculty of Education at the University of Athens, offered us a parliament where he emphasized the importance of educating in the ethics towards entrepreneurship.
Mrs. Deborah Johnson, as representative of the Department of Education of Girona, stressed how important it is to participate in European projects and ratified the Department's support to our school and the project.
Mr. Eduard Muntaner, an engineer and educator, member of the UdiGitalEdu research group of the University of Girona, explained the Girobòtica and InventEURS entrepreneurship projects, both entrepreneurship projects. Montserrat school participates in the "Girobòtica" program, one of the projects of the University of Girona.
Mr. Miquel Angel Oliva, from the Foundation for Creativation, focused his exposition on the importance of training Creativation and Entrepreneurship, because developing creativity is the basis for entrepreneurship. Our school is a pioneer in the participation of its entrepreneurial programs "Tivo Creativo" and "Creativation Challenge"
Mrs. Mireia Santamaria, Manager of the FOEG: Federation of Business Organizations of Girona, presented the entrepreneurship program "When I grow up, I want to be like you", a program in which we also participate.
Finally our sixth students presented a creative product developed by them, some notebooks with which they won the challenge "Reinvent the school material" sponsored by the Oxford company.
To close the event, Mr. Narcís Fajula, Mayor of Sarrià de Ter, highlighted the pride of the participation of the school in a project of this nature.
